EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS

In an emergency you don't know what will work and what will not

When there is a real emergency communications is the most important commodity.  People must be informed about dangers, risks, resources and assistance.  And it is vital that these communications come from trusted, local sources.

Approach

TSCI works with its professional emergency response partners and affiliates to provide education and resources to local community groups, resident organizations and other non-profits focused on emergency preparedness and response.  Our partners include CERT trained and certified responders, community radio broadcast facilities, and emergency radio operators with decades of experience.

Value

You don't realize you need an emergency communication plan until you pick up your cell phone and it doesn't work.  Or you turn on the TV or radio and they are only providing news about downtown, not about your neighborhood or community.  The time to plan is BEFORE an emergency with a local, community-based emergency communications plan.
